Oaxaca is an archaeology lover’s dream. There are many important sites to discover, of which Monte Alban is the most well-known. The majority of sites are relatively close to one another and can be explored in ½ a day (depending on your interest). If you are not going to do research before visiting, it is recommended to hire a guide. Many of the sites listed have their own museums.
